We are asked this question at least once a week by all the anime lovers, who visit our site. I guess, the proper question here should be: Can the NEW Photoshop 6 help one make animes (not just stills, but 2D animations, otherwise called, "motion graphics"
, like its big brother, Adobe After Effects?
In fact the Adobe After Effects is known by professional animators (check DV Magazine, 12/2000, pg.36) as THE BEST in price/quality animation production package on the market today. However, comparing to Photoshop 5/6 it is far too expensive (only the upgrade is about $1500) and far too complicated to learn and use on your own! The After Effects' cousin, Aura 2 (NewTek), is only about $800, but is even more complicated, than the After Effects...
So, will the NEW Photoshop 6 save the anime artists' and fans' day by allowing them at least to create basic animations, say like the new and extremely inexpensive VideoPaint of Ulead 6? That would be a relief, huh?
Please, let me/us know ASAP!
