How do I create an animation of a page turning, which peals the first page of writing off to reveal the second below. The bit I'm having problems with is seeing both the first and second at the same time.

Thanks

You mean something like this... But with content on the pages I suppose?

Yeah, that kind of idea.

I was thinking about if you only see half of that animation you gave me a link to, and you see the page start to turn from the bottom corner, then it folds and disappears off the edge of the monitor, revealing the other page behind it.

I want the whole page to disappear as well - bars and links and everything.

I'm not quite sure how to do it. I started with a complicated system of layers and links to pages that you have clicked on a link to, but I had too many pages and it got too complicated.

I can't think how to do it without creating animation between every pair of combinations of linked pages.

Thanks

I tried a few differenet things to see if I could help but the best I could come up with is a frame by frame animation between pages.

Rather than do a separate animation for each page turn it might be possible to link the animation to a moving mask which wipes out the top page and reveals the one underneath. This would mean coming up with the "upturned page corner" clip which moves across the stage in lockstep with an angled mask clip between the pages doin the actual reveal.

Either way i can't think of a scripted solution so it looks very like standard animation is going to me your answer.

I'm suprised that such a simple animation is so complicated to replicate - I was sure that someone would be able to give me a link to a flash script or something which would enable me to do this.

The only solution I have found (due to huge numbers of pages) is to virtually insert a blank page in-between each page, which enables me to close the page onto a blank page, then open a new one off a blank one. This reduces the number of movie clips and layers, but still would look better with only a one-page turn.

It still looks pretty good though :)

Thanks anyway!
