Hi There
I'm completely new to 3D Studio Max, and I'm stuck on a graphics assignment for my course at uni.
I need to rotate a sphere around two axe's simultaneously, at each step, turning a total of 1080 degrees around one axis, and 360 degess around the other over the 100 steps. It therefore must be turned 108 degrees around one axis, while being rotated 3.6 degrees around the other axis (at right angles to the first), per step. Only half-degree steps seem to be allowed, so I can't get 3.6. I've tried 18 degrees every five steps, but it looks wrong.
I've noticed that if I right click a key frame, a dialog box appears giving the 'x,y,z' coordinates of the selected object. It also gives an angle, but I don't know which axis the angle is referred to.
It should be possible - I think - to use the dialog box to set up one key frame at the end of the animation, to define all movements of the selected object. But how?
Can anyone help?
