Hi guys,
I have what may be perceived as really stupid question.
I think im reasonably proficient at html and javascript, but the client im making a page for wants an aminated insurance logo.
I.E. A simple flat gif to turn around (like turning a piece of paper around).
I dont have the foggiest on how to animate an image, does anyone have any idea (im crap at flash).
Any help at all would be very much appreciative.

Hi,
very easy. Get the software!
I use 2D&3D Animator from PySoft but here are dozens of companies out there which supply free software for animations.
Jasc have some great software.
Just do a google search for animation software or search on Tucows and you will find loads.

All an animates gif is, is layers of images stacked together which rotate at whatever specified speed.

Thanks Enzo,
for your prompt reply. You gave me the information I needed, just wanted to make sure I wasn't wasting my time creating loads and loads of the animated images when there was a better s/w package out there.
Much appreciated.

No problem, if you get the Jasc animator, cant remember the exact name, but it's excellent software for animations! But pricey for me though.

Photoshop now comes with Imageready and I find it to be quite sufficient for my animation needs.

Hey whats wrong with Macromedia 5? You just have to do it all yourself, but isnt it much more fun that way? Ok maybe not . . .lol;)

Jasc Animationshop 3 comes bundled with paintshop pro. Easy and fun.
