My problem is, that I am unable to copy an animated GIF into documents or e-mail. That is, it can be send as an "attachment", but I am unable to copy it inside the text-page. I use windows-ME, on a Dell-4100. Can anyone advise me please? Many thanks.

When you say that you cannot copy it in, have you tried (In Word) Insert->Picture->From File, then browse to the pic and click ok???? This will put the pic in the word doc, but it won't be animated.
Outlook will do this, to insert it, go Insert->Picture and then browse to your file again....this will put the pic in the body of the message and it will be animated. Two things to note for Outlook are that first off you have to be sending the mail in HTML format, or it wont appear in body of the text, and if the recieptiant cannot view HTML and olny plain text emails then it will come in as an attachment.
The second thing to note is that you must click the cursor into the body of the email, or when you go to Insert-> the 'picture' option will not be available.....

hope this helps for you.... Jay~

Thank you for the great help! Yes, --I guess I'll have to start using OUTLOOK. I am on MSN-mail at the present, not on Outlook. Thanks again, or as we say here in Hawaii "Mahalo" and Aloha. Tiffany

ha!!
yea with MSN-mail you cant do it...even though it is a html website the mail window uses plain text, so the pic wont go in there! best option for that is as you say to start using Outlook!!
so as we say in Ireland, Tá failte romhat (your welcome!) :-X Jay~
