I have placed an animated GIF on a multimedia training page and would like it to go to the next page automatically when the GIF stops playing. I do not want the user to have to click anything for it to advance to the next page. Is there any way it can automatically advance to the next page after the animated GIF finishes?

Hi jld,

hopefully you cannot put any action on a gif animation to control it or know when it is finished.

All you can do is assume the time that will tkae this animation to load and finish and then put a refresh tag in the head of the page.
<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="60;URL=60 = number of seconds
= the next page

This is not very precise looking at the connection speed of the user but it will be much better if you do your animation on flash.

Have a nice day,

ChouCh,
