animated clouds effect ?

hello,

is there any kinda way to make animted clouds in after effects? OR do i really7 need to record clouds ???

As a example ...
they have it really nice.

Even if the quality will not be that good in AE .. tell me how i can do it... (if possible)

Ahhhh... lovely clouds.
When it comes to this type of thing, there's no plug-in that will really do it justice. Your 2 options are to...

(a) Use a camera with a built in time-lapse function. This is cool because you only end up with a few seconds of footage, even after filming for quite a while. The only problem is that if the clouds are moving too fast you can't do anything about it afterwards.

or

(b) Shoot a few minutes of lovely cloud footage, import into AE and then use the Time Re-map function to compress the overall file down to a few seconds length. This method gives you much more control over how the end product will look too although you can end up with quite large capture files.


Another thing to remember is that the more you zoom in, the faster the clouds will appear to be moving. (Yes - I film clouds a lot).
