I have a project where I have 77 jpegs that i animated to the timeline. Out of these 9 of them appear black. It is allways the same ones. It dosent appear tho be a timeline issue because I have shifted the positions of hem and of the ones that work. I have rescanned, re-exported, changed the compression ratios, tried BMP, PSD, and JPG formats. Allways with the same results. Please help This has to be done by 6/17/02 . Thanks in advance.

I had the same problem. I rescanned at a different resolution (much lower), and it cleared up the problem. Photoshop seemed to have a problem with large image files (>1MB). I was using .jpg format.

Thanks for your reply, but I have all ready rescaned two or three times at various resoulutions, and the file size is nowhere near 1 MB. Other pictures that have a larger file size are working. Any other thoughts?

Yes, I found that some very large files did not cause a problem. However, all files that had this "blackout" issue were very large. I rescanned at 150-300 DPI and that fixed things up for me. I would say that I did not change anything on the timeline when I changed resolution. That tells me that the resolution, or file size may be the issue. Since I got things to work, I didn't investigate any further. Have you tried creating a new project with only the bad images?

Thanks that really helped. Mucho Gracias.
