We want to be able to report on the ANI of our callers. In reports, our calling_pty field is populated not with ANI, but with the physical trunk location (port network, carrier, slot and channel.)
In the trunk group we have done a Delete: All on the Incoming Calling Number in order to allow the agent to see the VDN name on the call, and we think that's what is causing our calling_pty field to be incorrect.
How can we get the ANI to show up properly in calling_pty, while having it not show up on the agent's telephone set, and have the VDN name display?
