how do i import an animatied gif into my project?

I cant import a gif that way, its not in the supported files.

I just did it in 5.1... Doubt it would have changed in 6.0, but it can't be done in 4.2!

Do you have 4.2?

No, I have 5.5 and 6.0 beta

5.5 is not very legit! Maybe that's part of the problem!

Guess the only workaround left with be to use another application to convert the gif into an avi, and then import that into Premiere!
