Password Recovery

1. If using an AN, power it off, then open it and put a jumper on pin S16, behind the power LED. If using an ANH-8, power it off and put a jumper on pin J7.

2. Power ON the AN. The unit completes the boot cycle in diagnostic mode.

3. At the prompt, type rb c00000 10. A line of hex will be displayed. At the end of the line, the current password will appear in ASCII. This looks similar to a Sniffer trace.
4. Power OFF the AN, remove the jumper, and re-boot the AN.

5. Log in with the current password, or erase it and use one a little easier to remember!

Password Removal

1. If using an AN, power it off, then open it and put a jumper on pin S16, behind the power LED. If using an ANH, power it off and put a jumper on pin JP7.

2. Power ON the AN. The unit completes the boot cycle in diagnostic mode.

3. At the Diag prompt, type wb c00000 12345.

4. Power OFF the AN, remove the jumper and re-boot. When Login prompt appears, log in as Manager and there will be no prompt for a password. Set new password as desired.
