I love my Samsung Galaxy Note, SGH-i717 AT&T model.

... except for this:
When a new email comes in, I get a notification in the windowshade status bar, and the phone plays a ringtone called "Postman", which sounds like a bicycle bell.
... including in the middle of the night.
The notification in status bar is turned on.
The 'ringtone' in Settings is set to 'Silent'.
I cannot get that damn bell to shut off.
I'm thankful that it only rings once per notification, but I'm frustrated that I can't seem to make it not ring.
I think this behavior is new; I can't remember the phone being so annoying ever before..
