I recently went to set up my new business cards at a VistaPrint.com who I have done business with before and not had any trouble... until now.

It turns out that they have updated their systems with lots of Java and such and made it so that Macs are automatically screened from being able to even try to access their functions.

Their excuse as to why:
"Please note that it is not VistaPrint’s intent to purposely ignore any segment of the browser/platform market. Unfortunately, some technologies do not currently provide the sophisticated programming necessary to render documents at high speeds via the Internet."

Uh, see title of thread. I'm trying not to swear right now.

If you've got about $200 to blow, you might consider VirtualPC to run Microsoft Windows within MacOS. It's not a perfect solution but it is a lot cheaper than buying a Windows PC.

That's true, I never though of that. However, I'll just go home and use my PC rig there to do the deed. I have a couple macs and a pc there so I can work on multiple os to see the results of sites that I do.

One other option is to use on a remote PC or Mac. I do most web design on a PC and check the layout on Mac browsers remotely.

This method requires that you have a zippy net connection.

No problem there. I have one at both home and work. It's just sad to see it happen again and again. But I suppose that most of the users of that service are PC based business people. Am I wrong to think that most designers are Mac based? I realize that I've only been using them for about 3 years but still, almost everyone I interface with in a artist work sense uses Mac.
