Hi again:

I am the same the person how asked about "how to boot from tape"

Sorry, but i got another question:

On C: i have windows 2k installed - on D: we are going
to install ibm db2 7 and Websphere. No database backup modules are present (Brightstore, by the way, does not support db2)

Plan: A. make full backup every friday from the system partition (C:) (1 tape)
B. make full backup once and then differential
(1 or 2 tapes ??) from D: (containing data and apps)

We do not have a machine containing many tapes, nor NAS, SAN, only one inside the server (internal) so i must change the tapes (1 backup tape drive system) but i can schedule backup. And plan C: put the db2 database and logs on a seperate tape- Brightstore might might corrupt the db2 backup logs

any suggestions ??

please help

You will need to shut down DB2 completely if you hope to be able to restore those backups. This can be done using pre/post scripts.
