Hi.

I have a named anchor <A NAME=&quot;vps&quot;></A> within a table but when I try to jump to that point from another page <A HREF=&quot;page.asp#vps&quot;>Link</A> I get a &quot;Cannot Find Server&quot; error.

Is it possible to put named anchors within a table? Does the fact that I'm using ASP make a difference?

Thanks.

Does it work OK if you change your link to:

<a href=&quot;#vps&quot;>Link</a>

I never had any trouble accessing anchors inside tables.

That works fine but my problem is that I'm trying to reference the anchor from a different page, hence the <A HREF=&quot;page.asp#vps&quot;>Link</A> tag.

And the link to the page works ok? <a href=&quot;page.asp&quot;>link</a> opens the desired page on top?

I think the problem lies in my use of a .asp page - if I export it as a .htm page, the internal link works fine but if I change it to .asp, it doesn't!!!

Any thoughts?

I am actually using exactly what we are talking about. I have a link on a page to another .asp page and to an anchor on that page and it is working fine. I have no idea why this wouldn't work.

Problem Solved!!! Stupidly, I had neglected to connect to my testing server via IIS. Having done that, everything is hunky dory.

Thanks for all your help!
