Analyzer not initializing java applet

Out of about 100 users, 2 machines are effected. They reach the analyzer splash screen and stall. IE displays "Done" and the applet never loads. All machines have JRE 1.4.2_06. The two machines in question also have many Hyperion products (Vignette, Planning, Business Rules, etc). Is there a known conflict? Has anyone seen anything like this before?

Have tried uninstall/reinstall of JRE and of IE. Not a rights issue as problem spans profiles (including admin).
