Hi
I have bcm50 which was newly installed since 1 week. From today morning all the external lines didnt work without any symptom. I checked in the BEM under telephony resources, the Analog Trunks showing 'Enabling..' instead of Enabled. I rebooted the BCM, no luck to get it work. In the BCM monitor, there was no lines showed

What may caused this issue and How can i resolve it..

Any help is highly appreciated..

Further to my post, cannot make any internal calls also. Just showing the time and date in the phone display.

In the Alarm, I see an error message: "The utps cannot determine whethere or not the BCM is running in SRG mode.Without that information the utps cannot continue. Aborting with error 170"

Also the following services found stopped:
- IPtelprovider agent
- apcupsd
- btraceserver
- srg
- utps

I tried to start them, but didnt succeed. I did even rebooted the bcm, still no luck.

Thanks for any input

Has it ever worked?

This is a Signature and not part of the answer, it appears on every reply.

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

There are some good news today. I switched off the BCM for 30 minutes and switched on again. Then it worked! Yes acewarlock, it was working since one week perfectly, all the keycodes are entered and accepted.

I would like to know, if there is no proper ventilation or cooling where the BCM is installed, will it happen?

Thanks to all

Cooling could always play a part in equipment performance.

As long as there is nothing stacked on it, the vents are clear, the cooling fan is running, there is no debris or moisture falling into it and the room is under 85-90 F, it shouldn't be an issue, though.

Thanks for that useful information. Actually the room temp. falls under what you have mentioned. Anyhow, thinks are working now. I could not figure out what happened exactly.
