I have a customer who has a 3300 (MCD5.0) with 4 Analog (PSTN) trunks. When they make a call out, the number dials like normal and when the other end answeres, there is a couple of seconds where the far-end party cannot hear the local party speak. The local party can hear the far end party answer the phone and speak.
After a couple of seconds (three, max) both parties can then hear each other correctly. There is no click or other noise on the line when this happens.
The issue isn't limited to calls of a certain destination (like mobile only, or STD calls only) - it happens with mobile, national, local, etc.
I have tested calls going through the Mitel as well as straight at the MDF and can confirm that the issue only happens when calls go through the Mitel. This is the first time I've seen this happen - does anyone have any ideas what could be causing this?

Check your analog trunk descriptor for Answer Supervision settings

Specifically - Audio Inhibit Until Answer Supervision

You might have to play with them a bit to get the right combination for your system.
