I would like to create an analog trunk group with my 10 analog commercial lines, but only need to advertise 1 of the numbers. Ideally I would like to set it up so that when the main number is called and if its busy, it should roll to whatever other analog line is available within the group. Is this doable? and if so how to set it up. thanks again!!

It sounds as if you need to contact your line provider and get them to issue 10 analogue trunks with all the same number.

so there is no way to set it up like a nest with the 10 numbers I have and create a pilot DN that points to the nest?

Ok_ What type of PBX which is currently in use for you ?

I did this same configuration , but not on CS1K... Anyway i pretty sure you need to contact your line provider in order to make it as your need, unless there is a great feature in your PBX that could make that stuff.

Thanks !

for outbound calls yes, if they're all 100% exactly like each other, as far as signalling and such goes.
for inbound, no.

Much easier and less headache if you disconnect the current 10 and re-order like firebird suggest.

Are you sure they aren't in a hunt group already? What happens when you call in on the same number twice?

Hey Stanley, yes I tried that. they are actually a group of vonage lines, so when I call in on one off hook it just gives me a busy. However I did find out through vonage that what I am trying to achieve can be done from the online account for the vonage lines I have. Havnt actually done it yet, but it appears that is my only option other than what firebird suggested. thanks guys

Inbound hunting is controlled by the provider. Simple as that. Outbound can be set linear or RRB
