Analog Sets - Auto Outside Line Pickup

Greetings,

I'm new here at as a courtesty I look at all the threads back to March for info on my question. (Congratulations to Ghostin on his new baby girl)

BTW - You guys are a wealth of knowledge I got answers to questions I didn't even know I had.

Here is my question:

Can I program my Merlin Legend R7 to automatically cause the analog sets I have to pickup on an outside line instead of an SA? If so how?

Background about me:

I'm one of those folk who thought it would be fun and cost effective to install and maintain my own phone system. Its been both. I was proficient with my Partner II and thought "Hey, how hard could this Legend thing be..." Talk about a learning curve (straight-up)! But I've got it figured now no problem.

First assign the pool(s) to the single line set. Then go to Centralized Telephone Programming, and even though it's a single line set, in programming it appears as a multi-line phone. Click on the pool button, dial *14, click on the pool button again, dial **14. This sets the auto line select to pick the pool upon going off hook. You will also want to click on the pool button one more time and dial *35 to remove the ringing so the single line device doesn't ring on all incoming calls.
