Gentlemen we have an IP Office 500 V2 version 9.1.6 with a combo card and a phone8 card. Customer has purchased a Viking doorphone which works perfectly inbound, but when we call the extension that the unit is on the ring burst is too short to trip the auto answer circuit. We have tried different ports on the combo card and the phone8 and have tried every ring type setting available under User/Telephony?Call Settings but nothing changes the ring that we get. Regardless of the ring type in inside call sequence we get 1/2 second of ring followed by 1 second of silence then another half second of ring. Has anyone else run into this?

It shouldn't work that way, it should be using a contact closure

I would go to the Extension section, on the Extension tab set Caller Display Type to Off, and on the Analogue tab set the Equipment Classification to IVR port. See if that changes the pattern of the ring that the doorphone receives

Tommy I have tried both of those options and neither one has had any effect on the ring duration on the analog port. I think I am down to doing a hard reboot on the system and if that has no impact then I will try and recreate the SD card to see if maybe its a glitch in the firmware.
