analog port

have a magix r2.5 w/ 016TR module.

I cannot make outside calls with any port on 016.
calls can be transfered and i can transfer out side dial
tone to it. but cannot originate outside dialtone
help.

016 T&R card? Check the dial out restrictions on the extensions.

Hmmmm, did you check your TTR's. You can test the TTR's on a magix r2.5 from maintance. What kind of signals are you getting when you dial 9? Do you hear the warble error tone, a slow busy, or nothing? If you hear nothing it would indicate the TTR's. If you get the warble, it could be a couple of variotions of things. If you get a slow busy, that would indicate that all lines either in the pool or assigned to the ext's are busy.

To test TTR's from Maintance:

to test from a set:

go off hook on a single line ext
dial *04
Dial the TTR you want to test ex. 01, 02, 03 ect...
Dial 123456789*0#
you should get a double conformation tone
If you don't, you have a bad TTR somewhere

I get icm tone.
I dial 9 and can see it sieze a trunk on a multiline set.
Then get silence w/ talkpath.
no calls go thru.

After siezing the trunk with a station hooked to the 016TTR grab a butt-set and attach it on to that trunk (hopefully you have copper). Do you hear dialtone? Do you hear silence? Press some DTMFs on the 016TTR station. Can you hear the tones on the butt-set? It sounds like it may be a bad slot on the carrier, or the whole carrier is bad. Try a different slot. Also try backing up the database, reinitializing the database with default programming, putting 1 trunk card and the 016TTR card in by themselves in different slots and seeing if it makes a difference.

-When I dial 9 I grab line 808

-I monitor Line 808 with a test set and It goes off hook and I hear dial tone.

-I cannot pass DTMF from the 016 port.
-I can pass DTMF from the test set.

Any ideas?

The voice path is not functioning. You either have a bad carrier or, more likely a bad processor card. You must try defaulting the programming (back it up first!). This procedure will determine if the issue lies in some sort of "glitch" in memory. If it goes away after defaulting, you have a slight chance of restoring back the programming without the glitch.

The system was in hybrid mode with ars programming then changed to key mode
do you think anything from hybrid mode would have caused a problem?

What is your hardware inventory in the magix strating with slot 1?

Are you having any trouble with your M. messaging ports? See if you can set outcalling from one of the mbxs and monitor the trunk while one of the vm ports is calling out. I'm curious if this is t/r or slot related.
