Hello. I have a customer who has a portable phone hooked up to one of the extensions on the Partner System. I tried following the analog phone guide but cant seem to place a call on hold. i can transfer calls fine, but thats about it. id like to be able to place a call on hold so they can pick it up from any extension. The analog guide says to hit flash then 2, but nothing happens. then when i hang up, the system calls me right back with the call. anyone have any ideas? ive tried the flash 2, flash *79, and parking calls. does not want to let me put a call from an analog phone on hold.

Flash and then dial the cordless phone's OWN extension number. The call is now on hold at all extensions. To retrieve it from a keyset, just press the blinking line. To retrieve it from the cordless, turn it on, dial *6 and the cordless's OWN extension number

Thanks! That works for the most part! After being on hold for a little bit, the call starts ringing on the extension again. Is there anyway to leave them on hold for a longer amount of time without it kicking back?

look for a call or hold return timer in the manual, I believe by default it is 60 or 90 seconds.
