I am having some trouble getting a clearOne max wireless conference phone to ring behind a merlin legend r7. i tried it on an etr port set to analog, an 016 with ring gen, and a 008 opt with ring gen. and i can not get it to ring. if i connect straight to an analog co line it rings fine. the ren of the phone is .01b. if i plug an avaya branded 2500 set in any of the ports i try it will ring fine. any thoughts?

In the "OLD DAYS" there was only 1 "RINGING FREQUENCY".

At least in the USA, there was only one.

As we moved into the global markets, we found that there is more than one.

That is why the 016-TRR Module allows the administrator to change the RINGING FREQUENCY from 20 Hz to 25Hz.

So, I would suggest you give that a try.

Menu > System Prog > Start > Options > More > Ring Freq > (ENTER SLOT NUMBER) and then change it.

Hopefully, that will fix it for you.

GOOD LUCK.

What mode is your system in (KEY or Htbrid/PBX)? If in KEY mode you need to assign lines to the 016 T/R or ETR (made T/R) extention port the phone is connected to.
