We have an avaya ip office install in a long term care that has multiple digital modules (non ip) and multiple analog modules for resident phones. We have stopped using the digital modules since we switched to different ip based voip solution. We would like to utilize the digital ports for addition analog phones for residents. Is that possible or we would have to swap the modules for analog? Thanks

If i swap them to I need to get licensing or what i have for the digital will cover the swapped analog modules

There is no licenses for the swap of modules they will work when replaced. You might need to delete the digital module from programming then install the analog to get it to connect right.

You should go in and delete the old Digital16/30 modules from the configuration. You will shut down the IPO, power up the analog expansion till it is blinking green, and then bring up the IPO so it detects the new module on bootup. Make sure you use the provided shielded cable. Should come up and be ready to go after that.

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.
