Hi Guys,

related to a topic I posted last year regarding automatic conference.
Do you now if there is a possibility to automatic pickup an analog phone.

I have programmed a analog non busy extension and would like to use a separate phone for this.

When persons call that specific number they all are conferenced.
This is for our first aid team.

Not within the 3300 itself.

The single biggest problem with communications is the illusion that it has taken place.

I am not clear on what you are asking for.

What I am reading is that you want to be able to dial into an unmanned analog extension and have it automatically answer?

1st caller would get nothing?
2nd caller would conference with 1st caller?
3rd caller would join conference
etc...?

If so, there are devices that can be placed on analog lines that will answer answer automatically. This might solve your issue.

If not, try reposting exactly what you are trying to accomplish.

Hi,

that's indeed what I mean.
Could you give me an example of such device??

Thx.

A typical device would be used for paging. Line ringing is applied to the unit, the unit answers and provides a 1 way speech path to a paging amplifier.

In your case, the speech path to the AMP is not necessary but the 1 way part is as it prevents needless noise on the line.

The important aspect is that the device answers the call.

I haven;t looked for one of these in quite some time and the link below is only an example.

If you wanted a completely 3300 solution. A thought occured to me.

You could loop back the analog stn into an analog trunk and terminate the call to a voicemail box. The call could then be recorded and emailed if desired or discarded automatically after X days.

I'm thinking that you're close with your analog line idea. Haven't tried this before but here's my theory:

If I understand you correctly, you want to set up an automatic conference. You can do this via the non-busy extension option.

You can't use an analog phone unless you disconnect the handset.
But... Ooops. That's actually an option.

What you can do is buy a 600 ohm resister, place across the tip and ring of the analog station to simulate having an analog phone off hook.

Then it should work exactly as kwbMitel suggest.
