Our company has an Avaya Definity Si. Is there any way to get an analog phone to automatically answer after the first ring. There is a parameter in the station translation form for Autoanswer, but when I set it for "all", the phone still rings with no answer.

If I'm not mistaken this option only works in combination with a Call Centre.
It's meant for activating a recording device or a IVR.

When I worked with a Definity g3i I remember that we had analog phones set up for auto answer/speakerphone there was a switch on the phone for auto-answer (att 8003 I think) the trouble was getting the phone to hang-up if no one was around to manually hang-up the phone. The definity had a disconnect supervision setting on the analog station screen. we used the same telephones on a merlin legend and had to put the auto answer phones into a voicemail group didn't send calls to the group just told the system that these phones were part of a group to get the disconnect. You have to have a device that is capable of autoanswer hooked to it for autoanswer to work. If you do not it will just ring until you manually answer it.

ATT/lucent/avaya etc.etc. has a speakerphone that does autoanswer(or they did a few years ago). JerryReeve

They still have that phone, it's an 8110, but to reinforce jerryreeve's post, it's more pain than pleasure.
