Does anyone know how I can check for analog lines that may be programmed in our PBX but do not have anything physically attached or have not been used in a while. I'm trying to clean up our PBX and need to know if I am waisting any analog ports.

Thanks In Advance.........

EASIEST THING TO DO IS SEND OUT A EMAIL SAYING IF YOU HAVE A ANALOG LINE THAT YOU ARE USING OR KNOW ABOUT PLEASE LET ME KNOW OTHERWISE IN 1 WEEK ALL ANALOGS THAT ARE NOT ACCOUNTED FOR WILL BE DISCONNECTED.
THEN IN ONE WEEK DISABLE THE ONES THAT HAVE NOT SPOKE UP, THEN AFTER AWHILE DELETE THEM FROM SOFTWARE.
THERE IS NO OTHER WAY. OLD ROLMEN WORKING ON NORTELS

LD 20
REQ LTM
TYPE TRK

This will list all of your trunk TN's, then you will have to verify if they are punched down on your MDF.

Thanks ace, I'll try LD20 first. If it doesn't work I'll revert to Perry's suggestion.

Thanks Again.........

I may have misinterped your question, I was thinking Trunks but I see that you may have been talking about 500 sets.

Try PERRP's way, but what I would do is disable the 500 phone and wait at least a couple of weeks to make sure everyone on vaction gets the message. Do a print out of all 500 sets and as you out them keep track of the ones you out on that print out. This way if someone says my modem or 500 phone isn't working then you can put it back the way it was.
don't pull the xconn until you are sure they are not going to be used again. I did this last year and out of 150 500 sets I was able to out about 90 of them.

What I do is run a report using our CDR program (SwitchView) on all analog TN's in the system. I run it for the past 90 days and if it has Zero activity then I out it. Although I would keep printouts of the TN's like Ace said. Good Luck!
