I Have a G430 Media Gateway PBX S8300 / release cm5.2
My customer site has 85 sets all digital, with 1 PRI-T1 for all calls in and out configured as as TRU-1. I also have a TRU-2 for a backup from another carrier that consists of 5 analog POTS lines.
The design is based on: If the T-1 goes down the 5 backup pots lines will complete calls and the end user sees "Backup trunks" as a display until the PRI-T1 is repaired.
On-site is a modem bank of 2 users that have requested all modem outbound traffic go thru the backup pots lines and complete calls over TRU-2. The management there has deemed the POTS lines are faster and connect at a higher baud rate for their application. These modems are connecting to about 16 different area codes.
All of the digital sets and analogs have COR-1 and COS-1 and the FRL matches the COR. Is there a way I can provision just the 2 analog modem lines to use TRU-2 as a first choice to route out?.
Please give me some ideas to get this accomplished without affecting the current dial plan.
