Background:

Avaya R;016X.04.0.124.0
Software R016x.03.0.124.0

Current Service is down as local telco won't repair copper for these lines.
6 POTS Flat Rate Trunks installed in PBX
Ground Start trunks connected to Avaya MM711 card

Proposed Product: Broadview Networks DVL

Equipment: Grandstream Networks, Inc.
Analog IP Gateway GXW400X
4 or 8 FXS Ports

We declined putting these through our internal network, so Vendor is providing TW access so it's outside of our Corporate network

TASK/QUESTIONS?

1. Anyone use this service/similar?
2. Advice/suggestions on connecting to our Avaya system?
3. Unfamiliar with trunk group needs/changes from current ground start programming.
4. Still waiting for vendor documentation.

Suggestion/advice?

Thank you.

Kenan

So you are going to get a hand off of some loop-start CO trunks? And the provider will take care of the end equipment/voicebridge device?

Most of the programming change will just be updating your trunk group/creating a new trunk group with the same settings as before - except this time choose loop-start instead of ground-start in the trunk programming.
