I have a couple of analog cards in a cabinet, and for some reason these modems we program are not able to access AC2 dialing as our other cabinets do. The cabinet only has these cards in it and not a M32S card, is that needed for analog operations/dialing out? I am sure there is something I am not thinking of here, but I have never run into this issue before.
thank you for any assistance

dont think this makes much sense. plug a analogue phone in can you dial between analogue/dgtl/ip & in /out services?

Remember if it doesn't work hit it harder

what version is this??? each cab needs DSP resources to communicate. so as I said plug a phone in & test

CS1000E 7.6 and that's what I thought that cabinet needed a MC32S card to be able to communicate; but a rep from vendor (they have all new not very experienced techs) said cabinet was ready to use and did not need a card installed; so I was second guessing that.

in this MG1010 cabinet is MGU, MGC, 1 UNIV Trk card, and 3 Anlg cards; and that is how vendor installed last year

we just now have the need for additional analogs on that loop, so they have never been utilized until now

we use AC2 to access certain toll free numbers for modem access

The first thing to do is to use as already stated a standard analogue phone and check that calls can be made internally between extensions. I would also access the phone system to check that the analogue cards in that cabinet can be verified in LD 32.

Check that the programming has been done correctly. Once that has been done, check for outgoing calls and perhaps monitor the call in LD 80.

You can't rely on the modems, you do need to check for dial tone etc. You might also need to check that the cabinet has had it's DTR's configured and the ones I have worked on have all had them configured in the last slot.

The reason for my questioning is that it seems that this particular cabinet you are referring about has never been used before?.
