Analog Caller ID

Customer has Astra analog 500 sets and wants internal CLID/CPND to work on these sets. When Astra set x1234 calls Nortel M2008 x5678 the 2008 sees the CPND. When the Nortel M2008 x5678 calls the Astra set x1234 the Astra set sees nothing. Do they need the XCMC Class modem cards for this to work? Or is it not possible at all for these sets?

You need a class modem card and the set needs to be programmed as such and you also need licenses for class sets.

You need CLASS cards, but I think it would be cheaper to convert them to digital than obtain those cards. Lots of the Aastra phones are nice, but (many of them) require external power - where digital phones do not.
