Is there a command for more than 6 parties for conferencing 7 - 10 people. I know it's XFA and C6A for 6 parties, just curious if the 500 analog is capable of doing it? If so what's the command, thanks ahead.

One analog 6 connections only

Thank you PERRYPJ. Do you know how we can get our system to allow more than 6 people conferencing (7 - 10) people. Does it have to be digital / IP? Upgrades in phone systems like Options and Releases, etc. Thanks for the quick response.

You can use a Digital phone to setup more users on a conf call and then call the 500 Polycom last, I have used several phones to add more user.

I use one phone to setup5 users and then call a 6th phone and use the phone to setup another 6 users. every time you use another phone to expand the number of phones on a conference, you use another conference group on the card.

AFAIK, the C6A (on analog)/AO6 (on digital/IP) does not actually limit you to 6 parties. In theory, you can add in parties up to the available capacity on a conference loop (30?) but the voice quality significantly degrades.

Thank you all for shedding some light on this issue. Makes total sense now.

Thats why I said to use other phones to make more call, I have had a Max of about 20 in a Conf use multi phones to build a Conf.
