when running svmon -G get the following message

/unix does not match the executing kernel

Did you have applied some fixes to the system without rebooting? Before doing so, run a bosboot!

We just ran into that problem today. Unfortunately, we are stumped, too. Here is the full message:

# svmon -G
/unix does not match the executing kernel.
Cannot load perfvmmstat extension.

The perfvmmstat extension has been installed. This is a uniprocessor system so /unix is linked to /usr/lib/boot/unix_up. bootinfo -K shows 32.

I hope someone knows the solution.

 
There is a mismatch with your kernel. Did you run an lslpp to check for problems with filesets? As asked previously, did somebody install something that modified the kernel?
 
AS madmurdock said try doing

bosboot -ad /dev/ipldevice and see if this clears up your issue.
