hi everyone,

I'm using 10g and (watch out!) I'm new to Oracle.

Using the Database Control - Enterprise Manager, I scheduled an Oracle-Suggested Backup job. it runs daily.

I want to force it to run now,but I cannot find it - it does not appear in the Scheduler Jobs window. (In that window you can click 'RunNow' beside the job you want to execute)

Where did they hide these special, system-generated jobs ?

I DO know the job name, so if I cant run it from the GUI, can I start the job from iSQL Plus ?

Thanks much! John

hi folks..... I really need some help with this. I cant move forward on this project until I find out how to view and modify this job. I have SYSDBA permissions.

Thanks for any help... John
