An Extension continuing to ring until all lines are picked up?

So I'm making this thread today because at my work we've got an interesting request.
But first, a little explanation.

Here at work (We use the CS1000 Phone system btw), we've got three different phones set up at three different buildings, all three phones having Single Call Ringing on the key with an extension attached to it. All three phones use the same EXT cause it's an emergency line. And as it is now, when someone calls this emergency line it rings at all three phones and can be picked up at all three locations at any time without interrupting the call.

However!
What our customer wants is to have all phones continue to ring at the locations with the EXT until all phones pick up. Now, I was under the impression that once an EXT is picked up it will stop the ringing regardless. And that even if it's not ringing, there will be a notification that the line is being used. I didn't think there was anything in the programming to allow it. I even asked the other senior members of the shop about the possibility and they don't think there's any possibility either.

I'm posing the question here just to have some closure before I call the customer and let them know of our limitations. So!

Does anyone know if there's any programming for the CS1000 Phone System that will allow an EXT to ring until all Phones with the EXT on it are answered?

Thanks for the help!

Change the Single Call Ringing (SCR) to Multicall Call Ringing (MCR). You'll have to delete the extension on all 3 phones first then rebuild them as MCR

Huh!
Alright, I'll give that a look.
Thank you for your suggestion!

If you are wanting all phones with a particular extension to pick up on the same call, MCR does not work this way.

As I found out yesterday with some testing and experimenting, jaxuser was right. MCR would basically allow the same set up currently, but allow it so that if another 2911 call was placed the EXT's would ring again and allow the other phones to pick up that other call.

SCR key plus an analog in the mix - will give you your party line you want. However, with SCR when one of the extension picks up, the remainder will be busy out.

From reading the thread again, it would appear that the only solution (which isn't ideal!) would be to have all the phones provided as analogue extensions and that they are all wired from the same TN on the Meridian.

This way, any or all of the phones will be able to answer the call and talk between each other once the handset is lifted. However, as mentioned before, this isn't a good method if one handset isn't fully on it's cradle and / or if more than one caller dials the emergency number.

FirebirdScrambler, sounds like he is trying to get all extensions to answer the same call like a group call key but on an incoming DN call. I know of no way to accomplish this.

Exactly. So as it is the Party Line is already set up, but the fella wanted it so the other ones would ring still even if there was a call going on. But! There's already plenty of ways to tell if there's a call happening and if the security guy doesn't hear the medical or supervisor person, they'll get in contact with em. Thanks for the replies and stuff though, folks. I kinda had to explain it out for the customer, but they seem like they are fine with how things are.
