Does anyone know how I can get a more detailed error of what's happening, so I can import my excel file into access?

No new error table ?

Hope This Helps, PH.

Nope, just this completely worthless, unhelpful error.

"An error occurred trying to import file 'file location\name' The file was not imported."

I found an article stating that this is caused by having leading spaces in column names, however, I've deleted the original column names (none of which had leading spaces) and recreated them, but I still recieve the error... the search continues.

Do you follow the wizard for the import ?
