I have this old portable with an LED display built into it. I used to have it hooked up to an outside monitor and the dipswitches have to be reset to use the LED again. Anybody know how to reset these pesky little things?

As far as model # goes, the only thing I found was
Amstrad PPC640D Portable. Runs on batteries too. 12volt monitor about 6 inches.Computer folds out. weighs about 30 lbs. If you need any more info than that, I may be lost.Thanks.

When the first Google hit is in the " it is time to worry[smile]

Still, many old folks roam these forums, myself included, and some may know of this machine. There are also forums on the "Antique computers" sites that might help.

Hey there wahnula, thanks for the info. Yes it is pretty funny about the museum being the first hit...Kind of like looking for a friend you ain't seen in years and someone takes you to the graveyard!!
Thanks, I'll keep trying. I have another question about software for it...to start, I need a 3 1/2 inch disk (DD) with Dos on it. Theres' no hard drive, just 2 disk drives which use 720k disks. I know this is ancient stuff; but it's why I'm so interested in getting it back in operation again. I used it years ago for a short time.Yea, before Windows came out. Thanks...I'll probably post this in software forum too.
