Hi,

I have just taken over MQ Series Support on an HP-UX production system, from a contractor who left as luck would have it, yesterday. One of the tasks I need to perform, is to make sure that a set number of processes are always running, one being amqzfuma. I came in this morning and find it isn't.

My background is WBI MB so my Websphere MQ knowledge especially from an admin perspective is limited. All the other health checks that I have been asked to perform appear to be okay.

Can anybody advise me how to restart this process, please.

Thank you

Authorization data in MQSeries Version 5.2 and WebSphere MQ Version 5.3 is managed by the amqzfuma process. It is the Object Authority Manager, I would think it would get started whenever someone started using the queue manager but I am not 100% sure of that.

Thanks for the response. Have found out that the authorization stanza was never in the qm.ini file for PROD but it was for UAT -- hence my confusion. so no problem [smile]
