Hi. This is driving me NUTS. When I run a validation on my page , I always get the same errors returned to me. Two problems.

1) The line errors for line 66 is from the ASP object MSWC.AdRotator. It doesnt add quotes around Height, Width and Border attributes. And I cant figure out how to get it to validate.

2) The & amp; issue. Now before you laugh at me and say I didnt read the error report, EVERY SINGLE & sign in every single URL was converted to the & AT LEAST 3 times. After I upload the current saved version again and again again....it reverts it back to just the & sign. I am hand coding it on Dreamweaver MX. If I close Dreamweaver and then reopen the HTML, some of the &s; are still as & and some revert back to just the & sign. WTF!

If I could just get this problem fixed, my page would validate.

Just a note, the part where I am having some of the issues (#2), is an SSI file. Site is an ASP site. Does this have anything to do with it? And if so, HELP! I want it to validate. (I havent tried to validate any of the other pages on the site, just the index)

1) Use code that will validate. If this object won't do it... then find one/code one that does. Maybe ask in the ASP forum is someone has a suggestion.

2) Open the file with a text editor. I am not referring to Dreamweaver as a text editor in this instance.

Example: Textpad (
Correct the & issues and save. The text editor will not interpret stuff for you and change your code without your say so. I do not know if your version of Dreamweaver is doing this... but in the dark ages the version I tried to use did this (and this remains one of the many reasons I never use this product).

Problem solved (I expect).

Cheers,
Jeff
