I have this problem here at work which has me a little baffled...We have a wide range of computers here especially computers built on AMD processors and Intel P4 processors my biggest problem is I cant get the AMD PCs Hard Drive to boot on a PC with an Intel Processor, and I Cant Get the Intel PCs Hard Drive to boot on a PC with a AMD Processor? if anyone has any information on this please let me know, I have yet to find any documentation on this problem....

Are you saying you've taken a hard drive from and AMD machine and installed it into an Intel and vice versa?

Why?

If this is the case, its not the processor - its the motherboard (and any other hardware that's different). You're always likely to run into problems if you move hard drive with operating system from one motherboard to a different type.

If you want to permanently move the drive, there are various preparations you can make before the move to improve its chances of success:-

Hey thanks for the Tip it fixed the problem, but the reason we were doing this is more for the experimental side of it, one of my techies had mentioned it to me and i didnt believe him so he proved me wrong but. Thanks alot for the information Marlon R. Trujillo
