Amazon is "pushing" push-button reorder dash buttons for things like laundry soap, razor blades, mac-n-cheese, etc.

The video is pretty cute. It would be nice to see grocery stores with buttons on every shelf alerting re-stocking systems so your favorite items were never shelf bare.

Hmmm, I see a day in the possibly not too distant future ... I run out of coffee. I reach up and hit the order button. Before my finger has left the button, my account has been charged. Before my finger is an inch away from the button, a small drone is lifting off of a pad at the local distribution center. Before I've moved a few feet away from the coffee machine, the small drone has docked with the kitchen drone portal on my roof and deposited a box of my favorite K-Cup[sup]tm[/sup] coffee canisters and a piping hot cup already brewed the way I like it. By the time I reach my kitchen's interior drone portal door the box of refills and the coffee is waiting there for me.

Despite the convenience and responsiveness, I'm now p*ssed off because I'm now going to be seven seconds late for work. Maybe I'll just call in sick.

no need SamBones - your connected telephone has correctly judged your mood and done so for you.

In the beta you are running the wireless 'mood judging' probe is a little uncomfortable, and its antenna makes you sport a piggytail, but that's the price you pay for progress!

Wow, you lucked out getting the ponytail model. Mine looks more like a dog's tail.
