I have an issue with an old Amanda voicemail system and notification. It is taking messages fine and allowing retreival of messages fine, but will not turn on the message waiting lights on a Toshiba DK-280 nor will it call a pager/cell phone to notify. The system says it is trying to notify, but never picks up a CO line. The Amanda is attached to extensions 216 and 217 and if I unplug the Amanda and attach a standard analog phone, I can dial 9 and get a CO and make calls.

My assumption is that the Amanda is not setup properly and is not dialing out as it should.

Any hints?

I figured it out. It was the outbound dialing port was not set in the SETUP program.
