I have just sat the upgrade exam for win2k 70-240 and passed (very relieved)
I am planning to sit the 70-219 elective and then hope to use my existing proxy server 2 and exchange 5.5 electives to gain MCSE 2000.

However, does this mean that when those older electives are retired, I will then lose my MCSE certification?

Any helpful comments would be appreciated.

Nope. You will retain your MCSE until they retire the Windows 2000 Track. Once you achieve MCSE you keep it until the Windows 2000 track is retired. Thats how I understand it. MS will let you know when your track (MCSE) is being phased out. Thats what they did with me and NT4. James Collins

I have just checked out jonscott8's link and also seen that there are currently no exams due to be discontinued....yet. At least it should provide some breathing space :)

Thanks guys
