We have 2 Seagate ST373307LW SCSI drives, in RAID 1. The controler is an adaptec 2120s. Looking at the adaptec software it keeps verifying, even after a verify is completed successfully, another verify starts again. Is this normal?

On many adapters if the verify keeps repeating, likely one of the drives is defunct but the controller is not marking it as failed. Look for errors on both drives, pick the most likely, replace it with a new drive, not a re-calibrated or re-certified drive. If this does not clear up the issue, replace the remaining old drive with the first old drive removed.
