Hi All,
I have a problem with MQseries 5.1 on Digital unix.
The sender channel always keeps retrying and sometimes it manages and when I restart it again "retrying". Because it can not start channel I restart the receiver but it can not connect again. I delete the queue manager and recreate after this I make it start channel. But it goes to the same case when I restart.
I can not figure out what is going on.

Thank in advance.
Mehmet

Well, you should have an error message logged to the mqerrlog saying why it always keeps retrying. Possible reasons.

1) Conname was wrong.
2) Port was wrong.
3) No listener running at the receiver end.
4) You had message sequence number problem because you had a failure condition and the UOW was not committed or backed out properly.
...
...

And so on.

Look in the error log, it would more or less resolve your issue. But if it doesnt, post the following here.

1) SDR channel def.
2) RCVR channel def.
3) Xmitq def.
4) Error from mqerror log.

Cheers
KK
