Hi,

I'm just starting out with Lotus Notes 6.5.1 and I have a small question.
Is there a way to always ask for a return receipt when composing a new mail?

I thought it would be under Actions-Delivery Options. There I checked the Return Receipt box, and then I check the Save Security Settings box.
The problem is that with the next mail I send, the return Receipt box is unchecked again!

Indeed, it is functioning as designed.
The Return Receipt has an interest only for mail that you send over the Internet. Given that mail sent to a collegue on the same server always arrives, it is of no interest in everyday work mail.
You can, of course, set the flag to be permanently ON, but that requires using the Designer and changing your mailbox design - which will no longer be part of the corporate design.
Then, of course, you will have all those responses to everyday mail in your Inbox. You'll see how long you manage with that before your start thinking of them as spam.
In any case, first things first : do you have the Designer client installed ?

Pascal.

Hello,

this question is not for me, but for some colleagues. We are currently in the migration process from Outlook to Notes, and this was a feature that was easy to implement in Outlook.

To answer your question: No we don't have Design Client installed.

Then you have to ask a developer for this modification.

Pascal.
