Depending on which type of board your MOH is plugged into, it is quite possible to have a dead audio input and have no other problems on the board.
I'd suggest plugging the iPod into a different board, if you have one available. You will need to change the MOH source board under Audio Peripheral Configuration in AltiAdmin if you do this.
If you have a VoIP board in the system, you could also play MOH from a file instead of using external output.
