alternative to XSL - what else to use

Hi,I wanted to ask what other options do I have for displaying XML documents, apart from XSL, in a web application? I read I could program Web Forms manually, but all tutorials on that include XSL transformations.
Could you help with some terms or any web sites that might give solutions to that?
