Alternative to FormMail?

I found out the hard way that FormMail is highly exploitable. Is there an alternative?

Write your own? It's not very hard, you could even cut'n'paste most of the FormMail script as long as you give the real author some credit ;-). //Daniel

I will use that idea on my server. The original problem has been fixed by the hosting company. I could've fixed it, but I was denied permission to the cgi-bin for some reason. I emailed them and all is good now.

What the hosting company did was renamed FormMail to something else, and I had to make sure that any pages referencing that script were correct.

If you use FormMail version 1.92 then it is even more secure if you set it up correctly.

Matt Wright, God bless him, wrote formmail when he was about 16. He recommends one script as a direct replacement. You'll find it here:

We have switched out the old formmail on our servers so clients can avoid the spamsters.
